FUN FACTS:  Did you know that….. Colorado is the only state in history, to turn down the Olympics. In 1976 the Winter Olympics were planned to be held in Denver. 62% of all state Voters choose at almost the last minute not to host the Olympics, because of the cost, pollution and population boom it would have on the State Of Colorado, and the City of Denver.

 

Reminder for the 2017-2018 School Year

1. Doors: Doors to enter the school will NOT be unlocked until 7:25 am. Do not arrive before then, you will not be permitted inside the building until this time. Remember that students must remain in the auditeria or the middle school gym prior to the 7:45 am bell. 1st hour begins at 7:55 am.

Parent’s Club
First Parents Club meeting is Monday August 21st at 6:00pm in the Media Center.  We will elect officers and discuss ideas for the year.
 

Student Press

Any 7th or 8th Grader that is interested in joining the Linton-Stockton Student Press, there will be a meeting in Mr. Beeson's room next Wednesday after school until 3:45

Lifetouch Picture day is here! The office will call each grade level down for pictures after the Announcements.  All students and staff must get picture taken.  No purchase required.  You can order on-line at mylifetouch.com

Student Council

Middle School Student Council will meet Monday, August 21st until 4:00 in room 310.   Submitted by Mrs. Harrison

 

The Linton Youth Football will be having sign ups by the home bleachers on the following date

Saturday, August 19th from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.  

Tackle football is open to players ages 8-12 (2nd/3rd grade-6th grade).  Players younger than 8 before January 31st of 2018 will have the opportunity to flag football.

*Flag Football- $25 

*One/Tackle- $60

*Two/Tackle- $85

There will also be a free youth camp following Saturday's sign ups from Noon to 2:00 PM.  The Miner coaching staff will conduct the camp. 

*Optional camp t-shirts will be $10.

The "Cause for Applause" Award program recognizes Linton-Stockton School Corporation employees that have gone above and beyond their daily expectations. This is a monthly honor and anyone can nominate an employee for this award.

PHONE POLICY/ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Students are not allowed to have cell phones in their possession during school hours (7:55 AM – 3:05 PM) If a student brings a cell phone to school it must be kept in their locker, turned off.
